I have a 544 that I bought with a cracked chutch housing. It was cracked from the clutch inspection hole on the bottom up about 1" and was fine for a long time. Than one day I was back blading with the loader a bang it broke all the way. Broke the starter imput shaft and pto shaft and bearing retaier. luckily it has a cab that kinda held the tractor up or I would of been smash.
