UPDATE
I dropped the bottom half of the carb off and could find no obstructions, float looks good to me and like the picture in the shop manual. Plenty of fuel in the tank. I am not sure how to test the coil temp? We had a some snow last night so I went out to push snow with it. It fires right up, I let it idle for 15 minutes before I started to push. It ran fine while pushing for about 20 minutes then started to act up again, same thing, first had to pull the choke to keep it running then it would idle fine but would stall when I tried to move. I was about 3/4 down the drive when she quit so I walked up to the house to move the trucks. I came back after about 10 minutes, she fired right up and ran normal, i was even able to push the last bit of the drive but after about 10 minutes she acted up again and stalled before I could get her in the garage. Waited 10 minutes ran like normal and was able to get her in the garage. A few things I noted, during the whole time the temp gauge never left the far left side and moving the throttle lever seemed to have no effect until it was moved into the 5 or 6 position. Temps were in the 20's today.
