I have 53 Stage I Super H with a 3 point conversion that came with my house when I bought back in October. The tractor was used with a 3 point finish mower to mow the front 5 acres. The tractor starts up fine and idles like a kitten. In November I drove it around and it did fine in all 5 gears. January I put a trip bucket loader on it that had a snow blade to plow the driveway. Again the tractor was running fine until after I had been plowing for about 30 minutes. It started to sputter and stall under load. As soon as I pushed the clutch in it would recover and run fine. I raised the blade and tried to get to the garage and it would sputter and stall when trying to take off in first or second gear. Then is started to stall when idling unless I gave it full choke. I got it back the garage in 3rd gear. From reading the forum it sounded like it was not getting enough gas so I removed the fuel line and cleaned out the screens at both ends. Made sure a steady stream of fuel was coming out in to the bowl. Checked the inside of the fuel tank for any obstructions or floaters. I adjusted the carb as the manual says to do on page 39. Yesterday I got it out and just drove it to the end of the driveway and through the yard, not pushing snow just driving through about 6 inches of wet snow. It did fine in 3rd gear down the driveway but when I went turned off in to the yard it started sputter and stall, had open the choke all the way again. I think my next step would be to take off the carb and make sure nothing is sticking or blocked in it. Am I heading down the right road?
