and to add, the main fuel jet on bottom should be open 2 1/2 - 3 turns. the mixture screw should be 3/4 - 1 turn open. with this setting the tractor will run for any beginner not familiar with carb adjustments or how to go about it. fine tuning is always good though. you can even remove the 1/8 plug at bottom of carb and catch gas in clean container and this may flush out some garbage also.
