Not sure how to explain this right but here it goes. Replaced the temperature gauge an where it threads into the head there was a piece of t pipe with a plug on the t. So I removed that piece thinking it was something someone just added. Now the new gauge I bought will thread in but won't seal properly. Wondering if this pipe that was there needs to be there or did I just get a faulty gauge. Problem is I misplaced the piece of pipe that I took off. This question might no make any sense but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
