Is this with the clutch rod unhooked or with it connected? If with unhooked then it is time for the clutch to be replaced. If with connected. Then you need to shorten the rod. You really need to check the pedal clearance with out the rod connected .There is a adjusting screw on the pedal that sets the pedal height then adjust the rod for the free play. That screw is on the top tip of the pedal opposite of the tread end. I can't remember the pedal height setting. Can get that in the morning for you if you want. It is at dads.
