This is just an FYI, I have an 806 that I have owned for about 5 years, I last used it in November, all was working fine when it was parked. I went to use it in Feb. and it would not start, I put a new vaporizer on it, new plugs, cleaned the carb, checked each plug for spark 2 different times, all checked out, I put a little gas in the carb trying to get it to start, NOTHING, I could not understand why it would not start. I taked to several people, and it was a mistery. I talked to someone the other day, told him all I had done and he asked me if it had any compression, I had not checked that, he told me to put some automatic transmittion fluid in each cylinder (about an ounce), spin the engine slowing a few times, then try and start it. It worked, after it burned off the AFT it purred as normal. This tractor had never done anything like this before it has always started right up, I am guessing the rings are on their last leg or they had dried down so much there was no compresion. Time will tell, but IT IS RUNNING!! I hope this information is helpful.
