Thanks for your solution to my tractor stuck problem, Mark. Pulled the shifter & housing off, lined the rails up properly and dropped the shifter back in and yes, the bottom of the shifter is badly worn/rounded off. Crossed my fingers and started it up and it all shifted properly; neutral, reverse and forward gears. Will have to find another and replace or I'll be "lining up rails" more often than I'd like. Was surprised at the amount of spring pressure on the housing but was careful as you suggested and didn't lose any springs. Thank you again for your prompt help!
