Sounds like what happened to mine, Den...shifter felt "neutral" but trans was in reverse and I couldn't get the shifter to move. Good idea on always keeping an eye out for the "situation" your getting yourself in. Don't want to have the trans stuck and tractor up against an immovable object with no way out which may require a call to the local crane company!!!
