I have issues with mine often too. I try to move it from reverse to first and it dont wanna leave the gear it is in. First or reverse. So I bounce it in gear until I get her started moving and then clutch in and pull or push it out of gear. I think she needs oil and she needs to have her gears looked at. But if I am in this condition and she works, I shall check oil and keep going as I am. I am aware of the issue and will keep that in mind. BTW, I put myself in a bad position with it stuck in first gear. I was too close to a trailer moving stuff off it and finally was able to move the trailer (flatbed) out of the way and off I went. Just as I said above, I need to be aware of my situation at all times.
