I think this answers my question as to why I can't open the lever all the way up on my C. I knew that when I was growing up on this old tractor it would open up farther, but now it will only open approx. 2/3 of the throttle and if pushed farther it 'springs' back. Somewhere along the line someone's been trying to adjust it unsuccessfully. I'll try adjusting this. Thanks FC
