It could be ignition or gas. I'd check out the gas problem first because 1) it would run for about 3 seconds, 2) choking it would help. If recently it got colder that could cause any moisture build up to freeze. Check the gas flow to the carb, then either thaw out the carb or take it apart indoors. Sounds like it is starved for gas. To check the ignition you could put a timing light on the plug wires to check for spark or just hold the plugs against the engine block and see if they spark for all the cylinders. Good Luck
