a few answers, fuel flow is fine, it does have a 5/16's rubber hose, as it came with it, i never put a inline fuel filter on a gravity feed tractor fuel system, coolant level is checked every time the engine is started,i got in the habit of checking the fluid levels in every machine i use before i start it when i worked in a gravel pit it was company rules and msha's rules too, its hard to get out of the habit now . the carb is the ih style,i replaced it [ but kept the old one] as when i bought the tractor several years ago, the carb had a hairline crack in the top cover it finaly broke, i found another one in a friends barn and thought maybe the mismatched unit just wasnt any good, i had bad luck with a zenith on a ford and wont buy another one, i did check the cap and its vent is open, this tractor didnt used to do this and it has to be something simple, if i can just figure out what
