Red, sorry I wasn't more specific on where the leak is. Right above the governor where the governor connecting rod housing, the slant plate if you look at the other side there is a plate with a screw at the top and a screw at the bottom that holds the end of the throttle shaft in. It seems to be leaking at the center of this plate. I have been in there before on another tractor I own and it did not seem as if there was a lot of oil in this area. Thanks for your response. Ed
