How long had it sat before you got it then how long did it sit before you got it running. If it sat for a year or more likely that it has stuck rings so it needs a good old ATF treatment to free them up. Pour a 1/4 cup of ATF in the cylinders and let ti sit a day or 2. Put the plugs back in the keep dirt etc out. Then after a day or 2 pull the plugs and spin it over to clear the ATF out and run it and see if that clears it up
