You may have more than one problem. You may know and have checked some of these things, or you may not have.
How are you setting the timing? Have you checked to make sure that #1 is at TDC (pull the #1 plug and put a finger in the spark plug hole while someone else hand cranks it slowly (with the ignition off!) - you should feel compression until it starts to 'suck' your finger - that's just over TDC) and which 'point' of the distributor cap the rotor points to? Have you checked to make sure that the firing order plug wires are following the rotor rotation?
If you have (or can borrow) a volt meter, check the battery voltage both at the battery + and - terminals, and at the 'non-points' side of the coil to the engine block with the ignition on. If you have full battery voltage at the coil, try changing the condenser. If not, check the fuse on the dash. Also check the distributor shaft to see if it 'wiggles' - too much wear in the shaft and/or bushings can make it not spark by not giving a proper point gap at all times.
There may be other things, but the above will help eliminate the big ones.
