Not sure if talking about the PS pump, or the actual PS unit. The pump generates the hyd pressure, the PS unit (or PS motor) uses the pressure to assist in the steering. On a 450 with live hydraulics, you probably just have a flow divider that provides the PS unit with presure from the tractor's system. If this is the case and you removed the PS unit, loop the input hose to the output hose, don't plug the holes. If you do have a separate PS pump and that is what you removed, then there is nothing generating pressure any more, so just plug the lines to keep contaminants out of the rest of the system. I don't know if it hurts to run the PS unit dry or not, maybe someone else can help there. It's allready damaged, but you probably want to replace it with a rod. Stan(VA).
