Hi Paul, You need to reverse think this one. Call the local tax man and ask what the tax is on a 50yr old tractor you thinking about buying. Also ask if there is a tax if it's not running. Hint hint. Then you know if it's worth claiming or not. Also put a forsale sign on it incase they come looking while your gone but put it where the general public can't see it.

In Arizona they don't care if you got it for free or paid 10,000 for it. They take the suggested mfg list then dicount for age, so no more I paid a $1 for it and they don't care if you have a bill of sale or not for $1. They don't tax tractors here. Utility Trailer is life time for $75 or $18 per/yr. I have one plate for 4 trailers :)
