Hi, the 454/464/574/674 belong to the 74 series IH tractors and they can have different speed transmissions and to check the speed of transmission you have to check the suffix letter of serial number. See caseih.coms parts at: http://partstore.caseih.com/us/parts- search.html#epc::mr63400ar154346
The other thing that affects the ground speed is the size of the rear tires. I believe standard tires for 454/464 was 13.6 x 28. The other option is to find one with a T/A that will give 16 speeds FWD and 8 speeds REV. T/As were not too common on 454/464 but were common on 574/674. The 74 series was replaced by 84 series in 1977, then 85 series, then 95 series, then CaseIH 32 series in 1994. All these series were basically the same engines and transmissions with different sheet metal and some improvements.
