The castle nut needs to be tight.Otherwise the blade will slop.But try it and see what happens.Wont hurt to try...I would thgink there should be a 'handle' on it.Yes they are 'plow bolts'.You will probable need to use a 'fire wrench' to remove them. some of those cutting edges can be flipped to expose a new/sharp edge.Be sure to use Anti-sieze on the new bolts.
