MV, MDV, and HV tractor values?

I was hoping some of you "old pros" could shed some light on these tractors and their value, in an unrestored, "complete" condition. I've seen prices as much as $2500 for an MV in a "vegetable condition" ... motor stuck, poor tires, missing a few parts, etc. Is that a realistic value? I would like to bid on these at auctions, but I have no idea where to start...
