I just got a 706 in need of a mcv pump I believe due to lack of steering and inability to get it to prime. The price was right though so I'm not to worried about that what I am worried about is a noise that started shortly after I got it while trying to prime the mcv. It's what to me is a trans knock sounds like its right under the clutch pedal and I only hear it in neutral, engine speed does not affect it much it's just a slow steady knock. To me it's rather loud and it's only with the clutch out push in the clutch and it stops. I know very little about this tractor and have ordered a manual but thought in the meantime I would run it buy you guys and see what you think. Any advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
