Help...I own a 1974 LoBoy 185 with a Johnson workhorse loader. Was clearing some snow last week. The machine was running fine. When returning to the barn, I got off the tractor, leaving it in neutral, to close a gate behind me. When I got back on, the tractor would not move. Could shift into any gear, forward or reverse without the clutch. When shifting into a gear you could feel a very small amount of torque going to the rear wheels, but not enough to move the tractor. I also found one sheared bolt in the snow beneath the tractor. I've removed the top cover to view the pto and drive shafts, clutch, throw out and pressure plate assembly. Seems to be working OK. Linkages appear OK, pressure plate stops spinning when clutch depressed. Throwout bearing quiet. Clutch pad can be seen spinning in its assembly. No burning pad smells. All appears intact. Is the bolt I found a coincidence? It has 1/2" head. It was clearly sheared recently since the shear surface on the bolt is not rusted. Have I blown something in the rear end? Is there something in this system the failure of which is known to cause this symptom? It's such a good old simple design, I'm a little puzzled. Any advice before I start to tear this apart would be greatly appreciated. Mark
