For every 5 gallons of hydrocarbon fuel we burn we create a new one gallon of water. But we also need to realize that the oxygen in that water, may have been combined with other elements on a different day. Water is the ash from a Hydrogen fire. The hydrogen atom is probably not "new" but could be. The oxygen atom is less likely to be new as it is much more complex. The climate change associated with ""global warming"" is the evidence of the tiny actual change in temps needed to have a major effect on weather patterns and local attitudes toward the issue of human caused global change. Even if we do not believe it is man caused, we are all subject to the result. Jim
