Can't believe you got 17 gallons out of the transmission on a C. The book says it holds 5. It must have been way overfilled. The PTO shares with the transmission and you do not need to fill it separately. You should drain it when you drain the transmission. The book says the fill hole on the PTO is just an inspection hole. If you got a quart of water out of the crank case, you must have a problem (blown head gasket, cracked head or block, etc.). Is there any oil in the radiator?? I think the thing you feel through the crank case drain hole is part of the oil pump. Can't speak to your loader. Does it run off the same pump as the touch control?? Best guess would be to fill the reservoir on the loader when the cylinders are retracted and thus maximum oil level in the reservoir.
