Replacing cub tie rods

I had a small accident with my Cub and I need to replace the two tie rods and the small plate that holds the rods in place to facilitate steering. Went to my local IH dealer and he quoted me almost $300.00 for the three pieces. Does this sound outrageous to you? Can my old rods be straightened with heat well enought to be reused or will heat cause a problem down the road. Any help would be appreciated. Jim
