Round here it is a can of Vye-E-ners.
I've eaten some VERY good chittlins in my younger days.
Every bit as good as fried chicken.
I will tell you how to prepare them.
If you are using frozen ones, defrost them, it would probably be best to do that over a matter of days in the frige.
Start them for evening supper in the morning.
Clean yer sink really well, and pour them into it, and wash them very good inside and out, with running water, a couple of times till you are satisfied with how clean they are.
Next put time in a cast iron pot, or dutch oven with lid, and take them out in the yard (don't boil them in the house), hang the pot, and build a fire under it, you will want to keep a small fire all day under them, checking and topping them off with water as needed, at this time you are boiling them.
Then in the afternoon take them off the fire and let them cool enough to handle. Take them back in the house and pour them back in a clean sink and once again wash them (you don't want to be surprised with a kernel of corn turning up in them).
Then cut them into 1" to 2" pieces, batter and fry as you would fried chicken in and iron skillit.
I don't think I would eat them just boiled.
They were VERY good fried.
