I found a set of original Ford scripted front wheels at my local boneyard. I wire wheeled them inside and out to get the rust out (sandblasting would have been MUCH easier). The insides were corroded and rough as well, but solid. I sprayed mine with a thick coating of phosphoric acid after I wire wheeled them to stop any small amount of rust hiding down in the pits and cracks. Then I put a good thick coat of enamel paint on the inside and out - that should work. I do like the idea of using the truck bed liner paint. I would still coat in phosphoric acid though to stop the rust. Good luck, Dan
