The 2 hex bolts at 12 and 6 o-clock on the rear retain the bearing support,,, if they did not the hole deal would fall off when servicing the outer seal...

Somewhere around late 51 or only 52's they did not have the seal retainer as seen in the pix,,, don't matter tho,,, you can use the seal retainer on either BUT not both the seal retainer and the seal made for a 52,,, confusing BUT use only one outer seal on either application
