Here is a copy of an e mail that I got back from Sears about there warranty. They answered back in about 4 hours. Thank you for contacting Sears. Craftsman Hand Tool SEARS PRODUCT WARRANTY TO COMPLY WITH FTC RULES EFFECTIVE 12/31/76 Department: 609 Product: Craftsman Hand Tool Warranty: FULL UNLIMITED WARRANTY ON CRAFTSMAN HAND TOOL If this Craftsman Hand Tool ever fails to give complete satisfaction, RETURN IT TO THE NEAREST SEARS STORE THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES, and Sears will replace it, free of charge. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. Sears, Roebuck and Co., Dept. 817WA, Hoffman Estates, IL 60179 Unfortunately, we do not have a document that lists the specific warranties of all Craftsman tools. However, we do have databases that do list the specific warranties of the tools on an individual basis. A general list of Craftsman tools that are covered by the lifetime warranty would include: ratchets, sockets, wrenches, screwdrivers and hammers. Some tools that are not covered by the lifetime warranty (even though they are Craftsman branded) are: taps, dies, saw blades, drill bits and torque wrenches. The guarantee is not limited to the original owner. Sears does not require a sales receipt for lifetime guaranteed hand tool. Thank you for choosing Sears to help you create the good life.
