I'm at a point I need to vent.. Not a happy camper hardy defines how I am feeling at this point..
Back in March I took the injectors and pump from my 930 Case in to be rebuilt (after less than 100 hours run time since last rebuild, but about 6 years time.. but was my fault for the failure, as I let the tractor sit for a couple years with a full tank of bio-fuel).. the rebuild cost nearly $900 bucks.
I was down there a week ago to get some gaskets for mounting a turbo, and the guy asked me how it ran, told him I hadn't had it running just yet but hopefully this weekend.. Told him I was a little worried, he told me don't be, the pump would be fine, and if it ran good before, it'll run just as good this time.
Well, today i finally got to a point where I was ready to fire it up.. got it all bled out, most everything hooked back up (as I have done ALOT of stuff to it this go-round)..
We put the fuel to her, and it fired up rather quickly and seemed to run strong.. Let it run about 15 minutes or so, and went to shut it down.. WHAT THE ??? IT WON'T SHUT OFF!! Thinking maybe the linkage was out of adjustment or something, I unhooked it altogether and worked it by hand right at the pump.. Still won't shut off!! Finally just "choked" it off..
I guess I'll be making a call in the morning to see what they might plan to do about the dilemma.. I'm sure he'll stand behind his work, as he's always been good with me.. Just really tweeks me that I pay $900 to have it repaired, and I'm gonna end up pulling the pump again and burning $4.00+/gal fuel to take it back to him, and sit and wait a week or more to get it back, to re-install and cross my fingers and hope..

It increased the farm productivity and, in general, made life easier because more work could be done with this 'mechanical beast'. My dad dreamed that some day he would have his own tractor with every implement he could get. When he rea
