Seems to be a lot of dry places in Texas, OK, and Kansas. We have been fortunate here in central KS, had .5" rain Sunday a.m. which helped the spring planted crops. Overall still dry. Hope you get some rain on your newly planted grass. Temps have been variable here also. Was cool yesterday, supposed to be in upper 90's all week. Wheat harvest is rapidly approaching here.
