Crazy weather this year. Spring kept ping-ponging from unusually warm to unusually cold, with some rain.
Now its hot, hot, hot and no rain. Grass, foliage even some trees withering. No rain in sight.
We planted the about 10 acres in April with Tifton 9 Bahia. Some of its ok and some of its starting to wither. Really need rain to keep from losing it.
Doesn't look good for the hay crop this year. I told James if we get a cutting of bahia from our established fields it was going in the hay barn.
Glad I didn't sell what I had left over from last year. Its not very good stuff, but its a whole lot better than nothing.
