Anybody here ever read "The Time It Never Rained" by Elmer Kelton? Texas writer/rancher who grew up in Texas in the San Angelo area. The book is about the late 40s, early 50s when Texas had one of its periodic droughts, as it has for as long as anyone can remember, and before pollution was a factor.
