You'll know when it's head gaskets. They will push water out around the reservoir cap. They also do that when the EGR cooler is starting to leak. Being very heat related, get a scan tool and observe FICM L PWR. Needs to be 45v minimum. normally they are 47.5 to 48V. The other thing to check would be primary fuel pressure. There is a special gauge that has a hose with an orifice in it that simulates max fuel draw. Under max fuel demand, it should not go below 45psi. Typically they're in the 50 to 60 psi range. There isn't a schrader valve, it takes a special adapter to connect to the port on the bottom of the secondary fuel filter housing.
