I have a 55 gallon drum of used oil (motor oil, gear oil, trans fluid, etc). It"s slowly been filled up over the past 5 years or so.
Walking past it today, I noticed it was leaking. Ran my finger over the bottom of it, and some of the paint peeled off, and I saw the holes in the first picture. They were mostly sealed-up with sludge, but as soon as I poked around a bit, they started dripping out oil!
In the process of moving the drum around, another hole popped in the bottom of it (2nd and third picture). A chunk of paint popped off, with a hole underneath.
Any idea what caused this? I guess corrosion, but seems strange that the holes are almost perfectly round. And the rest of the drum looks fine. It originally held motor oil, and was new when I got it.
Also, any idea how to get rid of this? I probably got 30 gallons in the thing. I put the plugs in, and tipped it upside down to stop the leak. I"m worried it"s going to spring a new leak, though. Figured I"d call Safety Kleen tomorrow. Any other thoughts?

I think the furthest has been the Two Cylinder 7 in the Amana Colonies last year. Lots of stuff, lots of people. I've also atten
