When I mow and get to the end of a row, I pull up the PTO clutch lever to disengage the haybine as I make the loop for the corner. Does this put increased wear on the clutch, esp. the throw-out bearing (if it has one)???! The tractor is a Hesston model 70-66. The purpose of doing this is to lesson wear and tear on the haybine during sharp cornering.
