It does seem like (some) kids are getting more and more selfish as time goes by. I was with some younger guys from work hanging out a few years back. The news came on and a report came on about some poor old 80 something guy who had driven off, gotten lost, and had to be rescued. I made a comment to the effect of "poor old guy". They didn't have one ounce of mercy for him. Wow ! I couldn't believe the bitterness.
I try not to think about how old I am, try not to remind people that I'm old, and try to keep a positive attitude. I remember the elderly people I admired the most when I was younger, and they were always positive and light. Nobody likes to be around an old far' who complains all the time.
I think there's a lot to the old saying, "you're as young as you feel". Someone will probably need to remind me of this as I get older 8-).
