I did pull the codes as the engine light comes on regardless of what the instrument panel does . I checked them before I bought it as the light was on then , but it didn"t pull the electrical stunt until after I bought it . I checked it with the key switch by turning it off and on three times . Pulled them again the other day the same way and I pulled them again the other day with a OBD 2 tester and cleared the codes with it . Still didn"t fix it . While it dosen"t show it one the title nor was I told about it , but I guess thattheres is the chance that it was wrecked and rebuilt . There could be pinched wires from that , plus supposedly I was told and it was advertised on the internet this way too, that the motor was rebuilt 20,000 miles ago , so there could be pinched wires from that . I plan to put it up on a friends vechile lift and get under it to look for wires that could be pinched and another mechanic is going to put a heater door box in it for me and you have to pull the dash out of it for that and when he does , he"s going to look for bad , loose and or burned conections. We already thought of grounds and we are going to look into that too.
