1500, 1/2 ton, 360 gas engine, 3 speed with overdrive automatic transmission, 133,000 miles. just got this truck about a month ago, trany fluid was brunt looking and smelled brunt. change fluid and installed new filter 600 miles ago, last Fri with 6 adults in it, the transmission would not shift into drive unless I ran the rpm up to around 3000, then left my foot off the accelerator pedal quickly. would not shift into overdrive at all. Also overdrive off light came on, Drove it this morning when everything was cold, shifted fine into 1st 2nd, 3rd, and overdrive, but transmission shuddered when truck road speed was at 5 mph. fluid is brunt looking, and smells brunt again. Transmission does NOT slip. Any ideas?
