I remember a movie once (a chick flick BTW) Where the farmer's daughter brings her boyfriend home to Manitowoc, WI, for thanksgiving. The corn was still green, no snow in sight, heck it was T-shirt weather. And they had the County fair to boot.
Last I checked, the Manitowoc county fair is in the summer months, in November the corn ain't green and most is combined already, and there may or may not be 12" of snow on the ground. My wife (girlfriend at the time) didn't see why I was so irritated at first.
