I was getting a tire for my pulling tractor changed at the local branch of the big regional truck and tractor tire company. I had widened the rims (38 inch) by welding in a four inch strip. The manager came along and we were talking, and after awhile he asked the kid doing the job "What are you doing working on a welded rim?" He then walked away so that the kid could finish the job without him witnessing it. So he did his job by making the observation, then allowed work to continue in observance of common sense.
