We have a 10 year old rear projection big screen t.v. You know, one of them that are as big as a pickup box. Anyway, about 5 years ago it got like a double picture on it. So we had it taken in and spent a fortune getting it fixed. Delivery kid said this thing is an antique and they don't even make them anymore. Flash forward to this a.m. Wife turned it on and it had the double picture for a couple minutes and then snapped out of it. Turned it on for American Idle this evening and it did it again. After a few minutes it worked good. I can see the writing on the wall. I will not put anymore $$ into this thing so when it shells out, what kind should I get. Keep in mind I have not shopped for a t.v. for 10 years so I have no idea what's out there. Please keep the terminology simple and in lay mans terms so I know what you are talking about.Oh and we have a direct-tv satellite dish out here on the farm if that makes a difference.
