I've got 2 Panasonic plasma's. One 42 inch and one 46 inch. The 42 I've had since 2006 and is the reason I bought the 46 this year. They've been great TV's so far and have been used a lot(wife spent a lot time at the house for awhile). The plasma's are a little power hungry, but you can put them on a power-strip and just turn them off when not watching(yes they draw a little when off). Big advantage right now is they are cheap. The last one we bought was just about $600, 1080p, top notch picture quality.
