: I have a Ford 9N with a "Hydreco" back hoe that has terrible looking hydraulic fluid in it. I want to flush and replace this stuff. : Can anybody with experience in this regard give me any information on the best way to drain all? I've cycled about 10 gallons on new fluid thru here, but it ,too, gets milky looking after I put it in. If its milky sounds like there may be water in it. Best way to drain most of it would be to drain tank then undo the hoses on the rams and if easily removed take them off and work them in and out. If unable to remove let them drain in place. try to have rams extended then remove hose from bottom of cylinder. A lot of work but probably the best way to get all or as much oil out as possible. cheers
