Are you sure it is : acutaul getting hot or is it just burping out the : radiator due to an air lock in the system, this : can be correected by bleeding the air lock out by : loosening the Tempature sender at the top of the : head letting trapped air out, bleed until collant : appears. What happens trapped air turns to steam : building pressure causing coolant to be forced : out. Thermostats will not open with no water sensed : tempature agaisnt them! If this isnt the cause you : may have a pinhole or a cracked liner, Hole or : crack may not be bad enough to let coolant in but : it will alow the system to pump commpression into : the cooling system, (Like a cracked head or bad : Head gasket.
