Help me wire my "M"

I'm no master mechanic, which explains my error.
I ordered a new wiring harness for my "M". I had already taken the old wires off.
When I got the new wiring harness I could not figure out how to hook everything up.
I got the starter motor, battery and start switch hooked up.
I got the tractor running but it continues to run when I turn the key off. (Yes, when I turn the key off.)
Where I'm a bit fuzzy is the connections between the generator, ampmeter, and key switch.
If someone could direct me I would be obliged.
