I am trying to help a friend of my daughter with her Scotts riding mower. It is an S2348, 2002 model. The 23 hp Kohler motor is not charging the battery. I found a little info on line but not much. I checked the center wire on the voltage regulator/rectifier and it has 12 volts so the wire from the battery to there is good. I checked the magnets on the stator and they are good. I changed the reg/rectifier and still no charging. what do you folks suggest? I have the same engine on my Yardman mower and it is putting out 14.2 volts. Thanks for all your help. Rick
