I have a very good 18" Murry lawnmower. I want to purchase another identical one so I can weld the decks together in order to increase my swath to 36". On the one, I plan on taking off the engine and mounting a pully that will be driven by the other Murry lawnmower. Both sets of inner wheels will be removed since I only will need the outers. My question is are the decks weldable? I plan on taking the decks to a certified welder to do the work but first want to make sure the decks are weldable. I hope they are as I already purchased my other Murry and have begun to remove the engine and wheels. Another question that I have is that maybe using one with self propel cababilities then I can leave the other engine in place for more mowing power?? Please hurry as my grass is getting quite high as the Murrys are in my shop. Thanks.
