You can just weld them side-by-side and get a clean cut in the middle. The paths of multi-blade mowers must overlap. If they're side-by-side the blades will hit. Thats why multi-balde mowers have the spindles offset in the direction of travel.

With ideas like this, I suggest you move to an apartment.
